Below you will find some important updates and information for the fall 2017 semester.  Day Undergraduate classes begin on Monday, August 28, 2017.

Academic Advising, Career Planning, and More!

Get a jump start on your success at Chaminade and beyond by visiting with an Advisor in the Office of Retention, Advising, and Career Preparation. You can also get assistance with searching for an on-campus job. The office is located in Clarence T.C. Ching Hall, Room 252.

Go Swords!

Show your Chaminade spirit by supporting our student athletes. Admission at all home games is FREE for students, faculty, and staff presenting a current, valid Chaminade student ID. Visit the Chaminade Athletics Website or see the University Events Calendar for game schedules.

Bus Pass

Students have an opportunity to purchase a reduced rate Bus pass by completing the U-Pass Bus Pass Application available on the University Portal. A current Chaminade University ID with a current validation sticker is required. Contact Edna Wilson in the Business Office at (808) 735-4713 with any questions. 

Campus Events

Keep current on what is happening around campus by viewing the campus events calendar. There are some exciting events taking place during Welcome Week (first week of classes) and beyond. Don’t miss out! Contact the Office of Student Activities & Leadership at (808) 735-8556, for more information on Welcome Week activities.

We are also excited to welcome two new staff members to the Office of Student Activities & Leadership. Our new Director is Mr. Mitch Steffey, and our new Activities Coordinator is Ms. Pisila Tukia. Please stop by their offices in Clarence T.C. Ching Hall, Room 106, to say aloha!

Campus Ministry

We are happy to welcome Bro. Allen Pacquing, SM, as the new Director of Campus Ministry at CUH.

You are welcome to join us at the Mystical Rose Oratory for Sunday Mass. The first mass begins at 10am. A 6:30pm Sunday mass is also offered, geared toward students; however students are welcome to attend either mass.

Counseling Center

The Chaminade Counseling Center is located in the Student Support Services Building. To schedule an appointment and/or inquire about ADA accommodations, contact Dr. June Yasuhara at (808) 735-4845 or The Counseling Center is open Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm.

The Counseling Center also oversees the “De-Stress Zone”, a resource center for all students, located in Henry Hall, Room 209. The De-Stress Zone will be open beginning Monday, August 28th, from 10am to 2pm, Monday-Friday.

Housing is still available in campus residence halls. Contact the Office of Residential Life at (808) 739-4648 for more information. 

Robert Allen Montessori Laboratory School

The L. Robert Allen Montessori Laboratory School is a preschool/kindergarten for ages 3 to 6 located on-campus. Chaminade University students, faculty, and staff will receive a 20% discount off the monthly tuition for their children and the school also accepts the Pauahi Scholarship from Kamehameha Schools. Meal Plans

Mal Plans and Debit Dollars are available for purchase for commuter students. Please visit the Chaminade Campus Dining website for more information. Inquire with the Business Office in regard to using your financial aid within the first two weeks of the semester to purchase plans or Debit Dollars.

Parking Permits

Applications for student parking permits are available on the University Portal. Permits may be purchased through the Business Office for cars, motorcycles, and mopeds. Be sure to read the Parking Policy carefully as rules will be strictly enforced.

Please refer to the 2017-18 Chaminade Student Handbook to review the smoking policy on page 92.

Student Handbook

The 2017-2018 Student Handbook is available on the Chaminade University website. Limited quantities of hard copies are available in the Office of the Dean of Students, Henry Hall, Room 221.

Student ID’s

A CUH ID is required for entry to some venues and to purchase a parking permit or Bus pass. If you need a new or replacement ID, stop by Client Services on the lower level of the Sullivan Family Library. 

Tutoring Services

Free in-person and online tutoring is available to all undergraduate students. The Chaminade Tutoring Center is located in the Student Support Services Building. Contact staff in the Office of Retention, Advising, and Career Preparation at (808) 735-4815, for more information.
